Well! They are due to begin hatching this weekend!!!!!

I am down to 4 Araucana eggs......

that these 4 make it to hatch and adulthood!

My Ameraucana eggs are looking good!

I'm sooooo excited!!!! I've really tried to distance myself from this hatch in some ways... in case my Araucanas don't make it.... but now that I am in the final week.... I'm just so excited!!!! I can;t wait to see those 4 little faces! I hope to see 4 little tufted faces

And I am expecting quite a rainbow of Ameraucanas! Oooohhhhh.... they will be sooo cute! I just know it!!!! And, hopefully I will have more blue chickens!!! Gosh I love those blue ones!!!

I love both those breeds.

Those rumpless tufted araucanas are so cute and I love the little chipmunk looking face of the Ameraucanas w/ their muffs & beards.

I hatched 5 cute ameraucanas this spring. I really love them. They are so, so sweet!!!! I ended up w/ one blue little girl, one light one w/ silvery feathers coming in, 2 black little girls and I think I have 1 black cockerel.

I just love the blue color in any breed to!

I got them from Pips&Peeps... Wheaton, Blue Wheaton, Blue, Black and Splash.

I can't wait!!!!

Our power went out for a few seconds a few times here tonight! But luckily it was just a blip! Although it appears my Vonage modem is toast! :|

I didn;t realize how close I came to loosing power.... my mom lives in the next town and she almost had a TREE ... I mean HUGE tree almost fall on her car last night..while she was in it! They have at least 7 power lines ripped right off the poles... trees fallen on houses, roofs ripped off

Luckily I think everyone is ok, other than having to deal with repairs and all.

Funny thing is, one of the people that had a tree fall into their house was a guy from school that my DH had JUST ran into the day before and said "Hey, stop by sometime!".... I think this was a sign... I think we need to stop by and see how we can help out. I sure hope they get the power and everything fixed soon... it is a small town and repairs sometimes take a bit longer because we are "low" priority

Looks like someone is looking out for you & your hatch!!!! That is so scary! I'm so glad everyone is ok and that you didn't lose power.

My turkeys are on day 28 today, but not much action going on yet....just a slight wiggle from one egg.

No rockin N rollin yet...no pips. I think they maybe running a little late, b/c having the air condition on interfered w/ incubator warming up to correct temp the first day.

Well, I hope your turkeys hatch ok for ya! Yup, mine are due this weekend. I just got back from the coop... storm had a tornado that touched down (supposedly) near my coop and the winds were so bad it lifted a part of the roof off. Everything inside was SOAKED!!!! Poor guys were all huddled up in the only dry spot there was.

But, I got it all cleaned up, fixed the roof, replaced all of the bedding and bought a new bag of feed. So everyone is happy and dry
