My Araucana & Ameraucana eggs! Now with PICS ;)

Not much different... they all had varying shades of blue because of the different hens. The photos are a bit washed out.... but you get the idea

Looks like the little Splash chick has ONE tuft on the right side

That would be nice if you get a tufty one. The majority of my splashes and blues hatch tufted...I'd say 95% of them, so keeping my fingers crossed you got one too.

I have quite a few of them growing out myself for a dedicated blue pen next spring and I only have 1 or 2 clean faced and the rest tufted. I will have to do some heavy selections soon from my grow out pen.

They're sooo cute, and already you can see a personality difference between the two breeds. They seem more laid back

But they are ALL so lovable! Cute little things!

Even my DH can't help but love on them!

Also... do you notice any discernible difference in comb size, plumpness, ridges (rows) etc at hatch, between the sexes that is

I really have a hard time sexing araucana. I have tried lots of ways, but in the end I just grow them out and figure it out later. I have a ton of roos that will be looking for new homes. lol That just goes to show you I have no idea what to look for. haha

Not yet, but technically they are just a tiny bit past day 21 because of the stagger between setting them.

LMAO I probably have 2 roos then! HA!

What age do you start to know? Can you tell by 6 weeks or so like you can with EEs?
