Oh, wow, I love it, Henry! For anyone who really thinks this is awesome, you should read the Woodswoman series by Anne LaBastille. She is elderly now and in an assisted living facility but she built her own cabin in an mostly uninhabited part of the Adirondacks on a lake years ago. It's quite awe-inspiring. Your cabin reminds me of those books.

\ hat is soo beautiful....you have found your piece(Peace) of heaven...reminds me somewhat of our hill farm in Bala, North Wales....thankfully no wolves or bears!!! (just sheep)......enviable place you have...enviable!

Thanks speckledhen I will try and get a hold of that book. English chick I really love it and I have seen your pictures of your place its also amazing!!

The lease is up in a few years and due to conflict with the Native Canadian's (most are like 1/8 native) who have claimed this land and then proceeded to fish and hunt everything off season using dubious methods (netting spawning fish and shooting young moose) We may not get the lease renewed although we are working very hard with the Canadian authorities to make them understand that we provide safety to people traveling through a secluded and dangerous part of the park and have driven over 20 injured people out of the park to the hospital 2hours away ! I think we may be lucky and have the lease renewed but if it ever is not renewed I will dismantle the cabin and build it again somewhere on land I buy in the US !

Pray for the lease to be renewed!

Henry

LOL I am one of the kids in the picture I am only 16 now and that was when I was 8 or 10. The goofy little guy with the glasses is my brother. The kid who is as big as me is my cousin who is only 10 days older and the bigger kid is my God brother. The man in the back is an old family friend.
