My chicken is upset that I took her eggs😬

We got our first egg and she has been looking for it since. She laid two more then stopped. I put fake eggs there but am concerned that she won't produce? Also I'm worried the others won't lay because of it? Any tips or tricks I need to know?

Mine sometimes look for their eggs after I've taken them and give me a good clucking to but I don't think they are all that upset. More just like "Hey! I put it here and now it's gone!" Are you sure it's not just a normal day without an egg? How long has it been since she last laid?

Mine think golf balls are "normal" eggs so as long as they see the golf balls, they could care less. I've taken eggs from under them, taken eggs right in front of a bird right after it was laid, etc., and they've never cared as long as the golf balls are there.

My chickens don't care of I take their eggs. The broodies sometimes peck me, but will sit on the empty nest anyways

Check for a hidden nest. Also keep in mind that brand new layers often are inconsistent in laying for the first couple of weeks.
