This is Paco, my Light Brahma Rooster. We got him from a friend at a few months old after our rooster, Pollo, grew mean. He has six Light Brahma hens in his flock and is the sweetest guy! He loves to eat out of your hand and pouts if he does not get to, loves to talk to people, and is a super hubby to his hens!
This is my little, flighty lady, Nellie. She is a black Sumatra hen. Now that she is older she has mellowed out but asd a chick she was super skittish and loved to fly and run!
This my fat boy, Sue. We thought he was a girl as a chick and kept the name when he started crowing. We like to reference the Johnny Cash song "Boy named Sue" His sister, as far as we know, died young and we had no idea he was a Blue-Laced Red wyandotte. My new favorite chicken breed!
This is my Ameraucana, Coco. Probably the most beautiful, in my opinion, out of her current flock. She is brave and really spunky, favoring colorful boots and is not afraid to peck you just to see how you will react. Should have named her Spunky!
We recently found out that Bitzy was a rooster, so now we call our lovely Spitzhauben Lil' Bit, though he is not so little Despite the love I showered him with as a chick, he hates people and would rather keep his distance, but other than that is friendly. Last time I picked him up it scarred him so bad he sulked in the corner for hours -
These two are Lacy (Top) and Sylvie (Bottom), names courtesy of my Mom. They are Silver-Laced Wyandotte sisters. They are pretty curious and love to have staring contests with me
This is Pepita or "Pip" as we like to call her. She is our EE layer and our most mischievous hen. She was a very flighty chick that loved to fly out of her pen, but now she just likes dusting herself and keeping cool in the Summer
Atlas and Phoebe are our Golden Sebrights, Rooster and Hen. Atlas LOVES to grow all day and all night with his squeaky cute crow! He likes to think he is bigger than he truly is and Phoebe is his devoted companion and a sweet tiny hen <3
The rest of the flocks is seven Golden Laced Wyandottes and tow Golden Comets. I adore my chickens!
