Thanks lovemychix... those bantams are so cute, arent they! Our littlest chick is our bantam that looks like a chipmunk, its so tiny, but can hold its own with the others

They are already changing so much, I cant believe it.

That new container does look better for them. I remember when mine hit the 1 and 2 week mark. They become so much more energetic and agressive, and they wanto to get out of the tiny container but they are simply too young. I hated seeing all of their energy having to be cooped up but knew it was neccesary. I am really enjoying the chicks being at the barn in the horse stall. Yesterday they all took turns flying for probably ten minutes. It was funny because they kept crash landing into each other. It wasn't funny when the giant cornish meat bird hit a tiny light brahma chick and blew him over. Okay I did laugh a little, but it was nothing serious, the brahma was fine.

I bet it was cute and funny watching your chicks try to fly... I crack up over mine all the time. I catch myself walking over to them all day long just to enjoy the show

Yes, same here. I could sit and watch them all day long because it is a show. There are so many play fights, group fights, sleeping, flying, eating, and of course flying on top of the feeder because the feed from the top is better then the feed from the bottom. I have rescently started letting them out in my hawk proof run and am enjoying them exploring the environment. They do fine temperature wise, but when the wind picks up they will are come tearing in, just to go right back out when it dies down. It is truly peaceful watching the guys and maintaining them. Its a great hobby.
