My duck killed my other duck

Like was mentioned what kind of wire fencing and please don’t get offended honestly we’re trying to help you figure this out so it doesn’t happen again
I'm sorry I'm trying to answer the replies quickly but the replies keep coming to quick that I can keep up. I know know what kind of wire but I'm sure it's called chicken wire but it's the one that has very small holes

Okay if it’s chicken wire they would be 1-2 inch holes
This would allow predator to stick a paw in

Chicken wire is made to keep poultry in not predators out
It's maybe not chicken wire I'd probably have to ask what specific wire but it'd meant to keep ducks and chickens safe. I see others online who use the wire to keep out foxes and other predators. It has very small holes made to keep them out. Sorry I don't really know specifics since I'm not used to all this kinds of material

All the info you can give will help us help you
I’m so sorry this has happened
It’s not a typical thing so we need to find the issue so the rest are okay
As for racoons they can travel and just because you have never seen one doesn’t mean one wouldn’t come
I just asked my mom and she told me that they weren't big bites from a predator she said she saw my ducks picking at her and she had bites all over her butt so I genuinely don't think it was from another animal

If it has hexagon holes, it is chicken wire. Good for keeping chickens in, but it's flimsy and a predator can bend or chew through it with ease. Squares/rectangles is hardwire cloth. Firm and keeps predators out and chickens in.

I suggest having a family member do a perimeter check and look for weakness in the fence.

so we are trying to make them a bigger enclosure it I'd also chicken wire I believe

Chicken wire is not predator proof. Sure, it keeps chickens in, but a lot of predators can get through it, including rats. Also, I have seen where foxes keep working the edge of the chicken wire and rip it from the staples/nails. In the case of next door, all the chickens were massacred in one night (really poorly built enclosure by the previous owners).
