It’s a dog mat that I bought for them to lie on when I put them on the hardwood floor. What's a "cozy mat"?
No, no one followed him hahaha he just got off the mat and laid on the leather couch beside the mat but his tummy was resting on the cool leather couch.Did anyone go with him?sorry couldn't resist.

Turned out that our house temp was pretty high. It’s very humid in Ontario, Canada today. So our house temp was 75F when it’s normally at 70F so maybe that had something to do with it?What's the temperature of your house, and what's the brooder temperature? They don't need to be under the light to be hot.
I would try turning off your heat lamp for parts of the day. I would also get a lower watt bulb. More than likely your brooder is way too hot for them now. With those house temperatures I would look to wean them off the heat very soon. Take the panting seriously. Heat stroke will kill quickly.Turned out that our house temp was pretty high. Yeah that’s why I was panicking! I know overheating is terrible! At night we are reaching temps outside at -2C since were in Ontario Canada. So I think I’ll keep the heat lamp for night time but turn off for parts of the day? I just want them to be comfortable and not cold either. Today is their one week “bday” so I don’t want them to get cold? What lower watt bulb do you recommend I use? The one I am using right now is 175Watts. Preferably something that’s not a red lighting (hurts the eyes so much after) but if that’s the only bulbs they require then that’s fine.I would try turning off your heat lamp for parts of the day. Okay I’ll look for a 150W! You think I could use a reptile bulb? Those have no light? Just heat?Red is actually soothing to young poultry where white keeps them from sleeping. Blue is suppose to be another soothing color. 150 watt may be okay. Or one of those lights for keeping reptiles warm it puts out no light.
