My duckling was panting today in middle of brooder! I’m worried sick! Please help!!

The plastic brooder container might be making it hotter in there also. I've seen alot of people complain about this with those type of containers. Where a cardboard box would absorb some of the heat, the plastic bounces the heat around in the container. You might want to keep the temps lower then normal because of this.
If it starts panting again can you take a video, upload the video to youtube or vimeo, then copy/paste the link here?
hi there, one of my different ducklings just did the “panting” thing again and was able to catch on video. I uploaded to Vimeo, please take a look to see what you think? She wasn’t in the brooder when she started doing it today. She was on a cozy mat cuddling with me while watching a movie so it’s not like she was ver heated?

I've had them pant, usually when they're too hot, but I've also had them "open mouth breathe", which is different. If you're is just panting it probably means it got too warm.

Really? He seemed hot? Right after that video he got off the fuzzy mat and payed on the cool leather couch. So I assumed maybe he was hot but I didn’t understand how he was hot if he wasn’t even under the heat lamp...
What's the temperature of your house, and what's the brooder temperature? They don't need to be under the light to be hot.
