My ducklings were massacred!

My five pekin ducklings were killed by a stinkin coon yesterday! It came and killed four and dragged off only one! It killed them for fun! I had found the bodies and my neighbor told me he saw it after he came home from work, 2 am. This is so sad, and I want to kill it! they were only just above the ducklings stage and were just starting to show some personalities, wwwaahhhhhhhh!

This is what terrifies me about getting chickens!! What kind of enclosure were they in that the coons were able to get them??

I just got ducklings so I really feel bad for you. Take care. Don't beat yourself up, accidents happen.

Go get some more so you don't feel so bad. Learn from this and never forget to close it again. Write a note to yourself, put a rubber band around your wrist when it is open, or do something to remind yourself and make it a regular habit. Then let it go, everyone makes mistakes. How could you have known?
