My Coop
It's finally that time! The chicken coop will be done before Monday! With just a few more things to do and a good coat of paint. Please tell me what you think, I'm all for constructive criticism this is my first build like ever... I just came up with this idea and went with it with the help of my mom. Its far from perfect but I'm proud of myself for doing it. Anyways here it is but take in note a few things I have left.
  • Nest Box incomplete. (I plan on putting it up off the ground when i attach the bottom part. gotta grab a little more lumber tomorrow morning.
  • Chicken Ramp not attached
  • Lack of interior designs. (will do more tomorrow).
  • Wire skirt halfway buried but not complete yet.
Here it is!

Also, this is my backyard where I plan to let them free range in a bit. I'm scared they will hope my gates and annoy the neighbors!

Also this is my inspirational for the nest box i'm making if you're curious.

I’m always curious to see if your chickens use the swing mine never have been fond of it.
To be honest I’ve had mixed opinions about it haha. I saw it a lot some guys says it uses his and others don’t. So since I had the materials I figured why not we’ll see.

And thanks guys! I’ll keep updating when more stuff gets done.

It might just look like that because of the angle of the pic.
Roof should be slightly 'tilted' so rain water runs off away from coop.
The roof on the coop itself is tilted and completely waterproof.. the run roof however has some issues I’ll try and get those fixed by next week because I want everything to be done before chicks come.

Yep, I see that.
Tho I'd watch this area closely, wind could blow rain inside the vent as there is not much overhang of the plastic.

You sure don't want water running off the run roof and right against the coop wall,
and then making puddles in the run and under the coop.
