My first eggs are incubating!!!

I just candled the first dozen. 10/12 EGGS HAVE OBVIOUS VEINS!!!! One of the eggs was an obvious dud, with some small cracks only visible while candled, and the last egg was too dark inside to see anything, like the shell was thicker. Now according to the hatchkeeper app I should lock them down on the 26th, and they should hatch on the 29th. Does that sound right for being set on the morning of the 12th?

Last 3 days are lock down easy way to remember it

EGGS ARE MOVING!!! I put the eggs on lockdown yesterday afternoon and this morning when I checked them I cought several eggs rocking like weak jumping beans. No external pips yet that I noticed. Any estimates for when they should start popping out based on that? I hope to catch at least one hatching on video.

The rocking is usually them getting into position. What day is it for them? With good temps and humidity mine usually pip on the afternoon and evening of day 17 and most hatch day 18.

I set them on the 12th, so I think that makes today 15 or 16. If they're getting into position does that mean they should pip soon, like within 24 hours? I wasn't expecting to see movement until tomorrow, which is why I asked the question.

I almost never see mine moving, I think the shelf liner I put under them keeps them from rocking much.

the way I set mine, I would call today 16. You could see pips as early as tonight, which would mean your temp is a bit high in the incubator. The ideal would be for them to pip tomorrow and hatch the day after.

So much for that, just walked out to see if I could tell how many eggs were moving; 4 eggs were externally pipped. Since they're so early, is there any specific health issues or deformities I should look out for?
