My Geese love their Hay

Have you noticed if your geese nibble on the plastic chicken wire? I am afraid that mine would tear it all apart

Honestly with Missy getting into to everything imaginable I was worried about that too but so far she hasn't bothered with it, it's pretty tuff too. Now if i can get her to stop chewing on the extension cords going to their heated buckets. [okay I've already fixed that problem] what a girl

you can make hay baskets out of cattle panels (they are used often with goats to keep their horns from becoming stuck), super simple to attach and use too.

Anyone have naughty geese like mine who chew any cord they find? How am I supposed to have heated waterers? I'm afraid they will chew the cord off!

They already ruined a nice extension cord. :/

Bad girls...

Oh and I listened to Celtic and got them a string of Santa bells.. They chewed that apart as well - But they enjoyed themselves while doing it.

PVC pipe slid up the cords stop the chewing. bells attached to leather or thick rope and narrow PVC covering the rope to keep it together longer.

we have this hanging from various oaks and it gets chewed on daily, no toys, no bells just the rope lol

My fiance just picked up 3 bails of Timothy Hay!

They all love the rope. This morning the largest female buff Brunhilde was tugging on it and backing up while holding the end. Our youngest Pyr runs up and grabs the rope too. i can tie lettuce heads to it, broccoli, and other treats. Makes for apple bobbing in mid air lol
