My girls are getting mean

Lately when I stick my hand in the run to grab a food dish or put in water the girls are pecking my hands like crazy. Is this normal? They used to be nicer. They still aren't laying as they are just about 3 months or so. Do they get meaner before they get nicer. They gets lots of free range time, plenty of snacks and good food. I just don't know why they are being such brats this past week.

Perhaps if you make them wait or chase them away before you allow them access they will give you more space. Sounds like they need to go to chicken reform school!
