My hen has round worms and coccidiosis. How long until she makes a full recovery and is it safe to assume she will make it?

January 23rd my leader girl started laying in the middle of the run with her feathers ruffled up and her head hiding away. I figured it was due to the cold until the next day where I could tell she was way too sleepy and isolated and something was wrong. A trip to a our vet and he informed us she had roundworm and coccidiosis. She’s currently on cocciAid and safeguard as per the vets orders. That was the 24th of this month. Today it’s the 27th and she’s in our bathtub. She hasn’t eaten any of her feed, but she will accept a yolk yolk and her medicated water if we spoon feed it to her. Other than that, she seems interested and slightly perks up at food but doesn’t actually eat it. She’s very sleepy still but isn’t as pale and tired as she was before we knew it was worms.

So my question is, is there anything else I should be doing? Do you guys think her symptoms are recoverable? And how long will it take for her to full get her strength and health back? My research suggests one week or longer for a more severe infestation (it seems like it wasn’t severe but bad and as long as she got meds by the 24th, which she did, she would more than likely be okay) but what do you guys know from your experience?

In my experience noticable recovery from coccidiosis once the correct treatment at the right dosage is administered is within 24 hours. Recovery from a bad infestation of roundworm can take a few days and may be partial if the infestation is bad enough and has been left untreated for long enough.

Have you seen any worms in her poop?
