my incubator is peeping!

I set 23 of my own Sumatra eggs on 3-3. Lockdown was yesterday. This morning I thought I heard a peep, but also thought it might have been from the 2 week old Ducks in the other room. Then at 10:30 I noticed a few of the eggs looked like they rolled, and 1 has a little pip! Unchanged and it is now 4:30, but still...a pip! And I hear faint peeping once in a while. And with my ear to the incubator, I know it is from the eggs! 1st time incubating, so I'm pretty excited. I don't think I'll sleep the rest of the week. The hatch is supposed to start thursday.....

it is! So I'm looking at the new pipped egg. And it practically jumps! Rocks back and forth, and I see what appears to be a tiny beak!

I woke up this morning to 2 little peepers! It's really neat how they zipper themselves out. I see new pips as well!
