My New Barn

Fantastic - nice spray foam too.

I can hardly wait to see photos of all the happy hens!

Michelle, are you having your contractor do the inside partitions or are you and DHTB doing them yourselves? I would change my mind so many times that the contractor would walk off the job!

Mary, we are doing the inside walls. It will all be just 2X4 and chicken wire not "real" walls. we were pacing it all off last night trying to imagine how to divide the space.

Tom and I think we have picked a Maremma pup, if he's still available

he will be old enough to ship 9/23.

I used hardware cloth but I only had one wall to cover. Chicken wire would be more economical. You might think about hardware cloth at the bottom in any areas where you might have baby chicks. They can get out through 1" chicken wire but cannot figure out how to get back in!

We had a security breach on the barn side of the barn last night. There is a lot of alfalfa hay missing and a steaming pile of donkey poop in the middle of the floor. I wonder how that could have happened?

Warden, what type of donkey is he/she? A donkey is going to be next years addition to our farm. I can't believe that sweet thing would consider taking some alfalfa. It must have been someone else!
