Broken toes status update march 23 2022 9:00am.
My rooms tempt is 64 degrees the coldest in the last hour was 59.
Her crop did not empty over night it still feels about the same as last night. Her abdomen feels swollen I think it at least feels full. She pooped about six times after I locked the carrier up. The dark green part of the poops are starting to look normal. She hasn't drank or ate anything as I am writing this (because I don't have food out for her yet. And I guess she doesn't want water right now). I have looked for lice/mites on her and haven't found any. She doesn't have discharge from her nose eyes. She has been making her chicken sounds here and there which I believe is good because she doesn't make sounds that would tell you she is distressed. Unless she makes those sounds. I think I covered everything for her status as of 9:00am (I am going to round up the time 9:00am when I am only talking about a specific hour. I hope this makes sense).
1.These are Questions I have as of right now.
2.Should I feel her vent again?
3.Do I need to let her get direct sunlight at least for a little bit? (In the house of course).
4.How should I make her feel like there is other chickens around so she isn't lonely (If I should at all)?
5.if I don't need to give her direct sun for a little bit then since she has more energy as of right now should I make a spot for her to walk around a little?
6.how should I clean a glass jar that has the cooking oil spray stuck to it? (It was in the cupboard for a few years which is above the stove so it has a bit of a greasy feel) So I can safely use it to hold Broken toes food.
7.should I ferment her feed or at last make a small batch for when she is better? I don't know how long it will take for her to get better (as I am sure many of you prob don't know when she will get better as well).
I think that is all my questions, Thank you.
Broken tie pooped just now and is sleeping.
She was preening herself just a bit ago.
Just a few minutes after I took the door off the carrier she stuck her head out.
