That just goes to prove that good things come to those who wait! It sounds like they definitely made up for the headache they caused you. Thanks so much for letting us all know!!! Enjoy your new babies
Thank goodness you received your order!!! I knew that they would make up for the confusion. And they sent soooo many chics. That is great !!!! Thanks for keeping us posted. Have fun with your new babies.
The saga continues...
I was so impressed by this correction of their shipping mistake last week that I e-mailed Cackle to let them know that my birds arrived and to thank them..... Tonight I received an e-mail saying "What other birds did you get? We thought we sent 27."
SO THEM SENDING EXTRA WAS ANOTHER MISTAKE
!
HAHAHA! I don't think I will ever order from Cackle again after this. They can't try to make me pay for the extra chicks, can they?
OMG. Just when I was praising them for being nice, they really said that?
Jeez, what kind of people run that joint?
I am glad I never ordered from them. I had thought about it, but I don't want 25 chicks. I am sitting back and waiting for my order from Ideal. I love them and their service!
And no, they can't make you pay for them. They didn't even know you had more in the first place. I wouldn't worry about it. It would most likely take them years until they noticed this error.
I agree with championny. They cannot make you pay for them. It was their mistake, not yours.
My sister order some chuckers (?) from Cackle and it took forever for her to receive them. When she finally did, then they were all dead. She contacted Cackle and they said that they would make things right by letting her either order some more birds or credit her account or whatever she wanted to do. Every time that she wanted more birds (chicks, this time), then they were out of those or she couldn't get in touch with them at all. That has been over a year ago now and she finally just took the loss and never ordered from them again.
I have to say this. Someone mentioned they are a small farm hatchery, and I am all about supporting the little guy so to speak. However, in todays society, you just can't be that dense about customer service. I mean we all expect a certain level of quality and service. If Cackle is looking to make a niche in the market and compete with Ideal, McMurrray and so on, they should have a better grip on their operation as a whole.
What bothers me is their lack communication in their company to not know if they shipped and then when you think they are being nice, they play the dumb card. If I owned a hatchery, I would never place a customers expectations or the lives of innocent baby chicks in jeopardy. That's just wrong.
Ok, I don't mean to rant but c'mon Cackle. Get with the program.
Like I said, human error....LOL!!! Hopefully they figure it out and either hire more people or buy a reliable computer!!! At least it worked out to your liking!!! Congrats on the multiples!!!
Well this is just lovely. I had just placed an order with Cackle before you starting having issues with them. I haven't heard a word from them. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should just cancel.
Tried to order from Cackle last year...placed the order & didn't get a call until a week or so later when they told me they couldn't ship to my area. I've used McMurray multiple times with large orders and NEVER had a problem - fast shipping, reliable, healthy chicks and ducklings that fit the SOP.
