I haven't even checked my email today, Thanks for the reminder casportpony. They usually have preliminary results by the end of the day which they can email to you.
I’m so sorry! You did the right thing though, for the rest of your flock and it helps the rest of us learn too. So think of it as her helping her own flock or future flocks you may have later. I know it is painful for you right now, especially after fighting so hard for as long as you did! You are an awesome chicken keeper! Thanks Sequel, It tore me up knowing that Jess was going to be cut open.
Thanks. I'm looking into those nowSounds like she needs started on antibiotics, got any pictures of her eyes? Swollen shut?
https://www.jedds.com/product-category/poultry/healthcare-poultry/medicine-poultry/This Doxy~Tyl is what I used on my sick pullet, she was right as rain in a few days, took longer to get all the dried pus out of her eye than it did to make her start acting right again. I used the eye ointment too, I just used regular triple antibiotic ointment or neosporin until the terramycin arrived.

just beware that she might have something like mycoplasma, which is not curable. She might recover, but could infect your entire flock.Returns? I don't bother. But I am going to try to save her life.
And her beak breath smells like dead meat.May need to dig out the dried pus then.
