I'm excited & happy that they're going to be laying now seems like just yesterday they were my tiny baby chicks that both fit in one hand

Oh, I know! They grow up so fast! I have some pullets that I hatched summer of last year, I was just looking at some pics of them, and they were so teensy!
Same thing I was looking at their baby pics also & they are always so tiny! I wish they would never grow up but they have to & they make me proud in every way everyday as I'm sure yours do toYou're welcome

Exactly how I feel also! Like if my sad about them growing but I love the new adventures with them as they get biggerI couldn't have put it better! On one hand, I don't want them to ever grow up, but I also want to watch them get bigger and experience all of their "firsts"

The pullets that I hatched last summer are already laying and going broody, and the boys are crowing!
That's amazing! Mine aren't broody but I wish I could keep a rooster I used to have two roosters when I was little but they made us give them away because of neighbors complaintsYes!!
