My sister, the one I watch over, is ill

Big prayers for you all coming from me- and specifically for complete healing and revival for you both physically.

I'm sorry. I hope they are able to pinpoint the problem and help her get well soon. You're wonderful for taking such good care of her and catching the problem.

Oh dear! I am sorry about this. Please do not let the worry eat you up. You need to remember to care for yourself during this time also.! (I am shaking my finger at you ... in a loving and concerned way.

, thank you, it's hard to but I'm trying. I haven't been feeling so great the last couple of months (so I had to place my entire rabbit herd and chickens

because of it) so I was already on a slower speed being more careful.

This afternoon the docs started making everybody around her wear a mask & they have a warning sign up on her door, and she's in a private room. Still waiting for ultrasound and then maybe liver biopsy. 3 specialists have seen her today and they said they'll all review all the tests and ultrasound, then collectively decide about the liver biopsy and how to progress. They did say that whatever is causing this, that the damage is going to be chronic. She's aware of everything and is eating some (they're letting her eat whatever she wants...so can you can BACON, lol), and she's feeling so-so, and sleeping a lot. She's groggy talkative when she's awake but I think that's just all the meds they have her on. Hoping they'll know more by tomorrow.

to everybody and thank you. I can't sleep again so I'm window shopping online for another thread topic here. My sis liked that. She's resting good now. She had a hair appointment to get her hair colored the day I took her to the ER (something she never wants to go out to have done) and she was so looking forward to it. Tomorrow sometime I'm going to go over to a long-time elderly friend's house and color his hair for him, something he's always done for himself until he got hurt. He got burned really bad a few months ago but is now well enough for it but not yet able to do it himself. He hasn't wanted to go out in public because he couldn't color his hair...he's also a friend of my sis's and might go visit her if his hair is colored. She'd like that.

Great news! Docs left a while ago and the levels dropped (which is a good thing) drastically overnight, and if they're still dropping in the morning she'll be released. They do not know what caused this, but they do know that it's not hepatitis. Because the levels are dropping they're not going to do a biopsy right now. Even after they dropped lastnight, the levels are still more than 10x that of what is cause for alarm, so there's still great concern and she'll be seeing specialists after she's released. Strange thing is that she sounds, looks, and feels much worse today than any of the other days. But some other symptoms are slightly improving today so that's a great thing and she's thankful for that.

I just can't thank everybody enough for all your prayers and good thoughts and caring support. It's really meant a lot to me during this scary time. Thank you.
