All I can say is woooow!

You mean to tell me your relationship with your nieghbor is that petty. Rather than intrude 6" one way or the other, ya'll are going to drive each other crazy.

In the 35 years I have lived in the same residence, I have had one nieghbor couple, he now deceased, she moved away. Best friends I ever had, adopted my kids as their surigate grand children, adopted the dog as their own. They were trusted fully and completely. Were their at a momments notice. I miss them terribly.

The home is now up for sale, it does cause me some anxiety, but I hope to be as good of a nieghbor to the new owners, as the old owners taught me to be.

Now I got one guy that lives 1/4 mile down the road, ever since he cussed my wife, while we were repairing a gate, he best not cross my path. But that's a whole nuther story, and petty it ain't.

I have always been nice to him since the first day i moved here. Smiled, said good morning, nice day today....etc
Still do, when we both go out to collect the mail even though he called code enforcement on me for having chickens. The 6" strip of grass wasnt my idea.....It's not going to drive ME crazy either....I chuckle to myself everytime I see it....It WILL drive him crazy though.

I wish you guys could patch things up.seems like it would stress both neighbors not to get along.we have had some really BAD neighbors, but now we have good ones.he cut the grass for us when I was pregnant and hubby was working late.we always help each other out. I understand ,I would be upset about them calling about the birds, but rubbing it in won't help.what would happen if there was a real disaster? You don't have to give in but don't aggravate the situation.sometimes things come back to you ten fold.......wish you lots of luck.

LOL.

It's one thing to say it was just about the chickens... it wasn't.

These people have been this way since we moved in. Not over anything we did or didn't do. We get along well with the other neighbors. This guy wouldn't let us borrow a shovel the day we moved in

Just one of those grumpy people that goes out of his way to make sure everyone around him knows he doesen't like any of them

ETA: If there was a disaster I'm sure this guy would be out there 2 - 3 times a week, mowing his lawn, and leaving his other elderly, disabled neighbors to pick up their own tipped over recycling bin... after, of course, letting them know it was tipped over and intruding on his view
