Baytril is one of the best antibiotics, my first choice with bad infections.
Never used the pain killer...but nice to know. I thought that may be the outcome.
Did she think she may have pulled something...... What was the laser theropy suppose to help with....
At least you have ruled out a break etc....
Well that is good to hear about the baytril. I am giving her .32ml once a day and the painkiller/inflam. twice a day (pill)
She just did her first round and was a trooper. I am lucky to have such a good girl.
The sheet says laser=4effects:
-Cellular effects: activation of the energy cycle of the cells to increase growth/reprod.
-painkilling: increase release of endorphins and supression of cells that identify the pain
Anti-inflma: activation of the lymphatic drainage system and decrease relase of mediators that increase the inflammation
Wound healing: increases growth of blood vessels, decrease scar tissue formation
Maybe a sales pitch, idk. It was only 20 bucks so I thought what the heck. Though i was holding her and holding her leg out for the vet tech to do it (who mentioned chickens scare her HA) and she kicked a little towards the end so we ended it 10 seconds early so maybe a total of 50 seconds. Whatever. She told me it might feel warm but I didnt feel anything when the laser was on me
She took a fecal sample as well, maybe we will see something. She did a quick cell cytology (quick tape test) and she said nothing looked to out of the ordinary
She honestly didnt know what it is around the knee.... she said she was going to look more into it and call me in a couple days to see how it was going...
Honestly, I just wanted to rule out a break and get some good meds for her. Anything else would be a bonus
