Hello,
As you all are fully aware, TSC chick days are in full swing. I went one day to prepare for chicks & ended up getting some "bantams" that were sick. Thankfully I nursed 14 out of 15 back to full health & they're doing spectacularly! My only concern is, do you think these guys are actually bantams (specifically the black/white guys)?
2 out of the 7 (of this breed) are already getting larger combs & 1 is starting with the chin waddles. LOL
Any suggestions as to if they are bantams & what kind are very much appreciated!

Possibly could you add pictures? They might be helpful.

Looks like you have a pair or Barred Rocks. The right one appears to be a male, due to the puffiness of his comb, and the left one appears to be female, since the comb is short and thin. You'll know for sure in a couple of weeks.

Thank you! They're about 5-6 weeks old today so I figured within the next 2 weeks I should definitely know. One is starting to (what looks like) try & crow!

That's the age I figured they were, according to comb size and plumage. If the one on the left's comb doesn't grow any time soon, you'll have a breeding pair. Quite often, Barred Rock hens will go broody and hatch eggs. They're generally great mothers, too. Time will tell if they're both males, as some males are late bloomers. Good luck!!!
