Naked Breast Solo Tom

I’ve got one tom and one hen. They cohabitate peacefully with 15 chickens and have no apparent health issues. Nor do the chickens.

Except the tom turkey lost all his breast and tail feathers. I dust the big coop with diatomaceous earth and haven’t seen bad evidence of mites in a while (besides maybe this???). He only gets in fights with my husband, who is firm but gentle.

What’s going on? And when might he grow his feathers back?

Mine ran up and down the chicken wire fence and broke off his feathers.

His feathers will grow back when he molts.
