They look like ostriches! LOL
Neat birds! Have any pictures of these particular ones in full feathering?Mine were small in appearance, but once lifted they weren't as small as they looked. Maybe 6 pounds for the hens... but almost he same size as a silkie in appearance.Got another question... You guys are so full of good information!!
How big should a NN be by almost three months? I'm concerned that mine don't seem to be growing much...
They free range all day with a meal in morning and one in evening. They eat almost anything given to them. Plenty of water and bugs but they just seem so small compared to other pics I'm seeing...
This is a recent pic![]()

Are you sure this is a rooster? Is it crowing? The comb is so pale and I see no indications at all of it being male, and the attitude you are describing also makes me question it being a boy. Usually girls are the ones who pick on the other girls...He has a wattle it just curls up under his beak as it isn't that big yet... He is almost completely naked underneath and on his behind but has feathers on wing tail saddle not much under wings tho...
He is one I was thinking of separating cause of his attitude! He is really mean won't let red eat or sleep with the other ones and he isn't even the head roo flame is. Flame steps in if he starts pecking at the girls but won't help with red...
