Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Got another question... You guys are so full of good information!!
How big should a NN be by almost three months? I'm concerned that mine don't seem to be growing much...
They free range all day with a meal in morning and one in evening. They eat almost anything given to them. Plenty of water and bugs but they just seem so small compared to other pics I'm seeing...
This is a recent pic
Mine were small in appearance, but once lifted they weren't as small as they looked. Maybe 6 pounds for the hens... but almost he same size as a silkie in appearance.

Thanks kev I did look around and mine are about the size of a bantam already at three months so plenty of time left to grow sence I don't plan on culling any unless I have too many Roos then I might have to think about separating them out or culling... I know I have 4 Roos already way to much for 8 girls so gotta figure out that soon...

It's not a problem until the roos start to breed.. still a while away from that.

Be good idea to have extra coop made for separations.. could be useful for separating extra roos, mother hens with new babies, etc... but then it's really hard not to fill up an empty coop for other than those reasons! ;)

This is one of my Roos... I call him ugly cause he has one big attitude problem and beats up on the other chicks specially red who is just a sweety

He has a wattle it just curls up under his beak as it isn't that big yet... He is almost completely naked underneath and on his behind but has feathers on wing tail saddle not much under wings tho...
He is one I was thinking of separating cause of his attitude! He is really mean won't let red eat or sleep with the other ones and he isn't even the head roo flame is. Flame steps in if he starts pecking at the girls but won't help with red...

Are you sure this is a rooster? Is it crowing? The comb is so pale and I see no indications at all of it being male, and the attitude you are describing also makes me question it being a boy. Usually girls are the ones who pick on the other girls...

First impression was a girl for me also. but are those white edged feathers starting to come out on the shoulders? That may be the first roo feathers coming out. If it's a roo it will end up colored similarly to Kassaundra's NN roo Jaxom. It's called 'birchen' if you wanted to impress the guests... ;)
