Make him watch the CSI episode where the bad guys (I think gals actually) insert an electrical device into the ehem "back end" give a little shock, all for the same purpose, and tell him that is next if he doesn't cooperate better.wyandottes would be soo much easier but I've decided to make it so much harder by making a goal of laced birds with laced tails(like sebrights). Seems such a minor detail but genetically there's a major difference between laced vs non laced tails. Main reason is I simply like laced tails better but also there are barely any laced large fowl with laced tails so they'd buck the trend a little bit.
Making this even harder by wanting to make them hen-feathered too.. because it helps the roo have good lacing all over like the hens.
two of the laced NN lay green eggs. hope to carry this along also. Hen feathered, large, laced with laced tails, green egg laying NN, let's see what else I might want to throw in... ha!

OPPPPS this was for the AI post, think I need to restart this day.

Do you eat your birds and do they taste good?
Well maybe he is a "metro" roo and needs a little romancing first!!!!!!I've seen that in action- on a show about preserving eggs/sperm from endangered species for the future. It certainly works on rhino and cheetah....
the non-fun part: iirc it works by stimulating the prostate. birds don't have a prostate, so it wouldn't work.. but the roo doesn't have to know about that...
I've done AI before, NN roo with sebright hen, he could not or wouldn't breed her. He was very easy and generous so it can be straightfoward.. apparently just isn't with the sussex roo.
Trying to get an idea of how you would go about this.... but I am thinking it might not be a path I want to go down!
But I do applaud your efforts to get him to cooperate!
