Yay! There are other Nankin lovers on here

I got some really nice Nankin chicks from Mary Ann Harley about 3 years ago; about 30 of them I think. I've had to downsize lately though so I only have 6 left now

I wish I could hatch some new ones!!

Did a lot of your cockerels seem to have squirrel tail? Its a huge issue in my male Nankins.

Just finished building an extension to our coop/run to situate new breeding pens.
We now have two 30sqft pens available for whenever I'm ready to set up some good trios.
Very excited, wish me luck!

I have this sweet little lady that another poster has stated that she looks like she might be a Nankin. Can you please give me your honest opinions? I don't think she is pure due to the fact that she has yellow legs... what do you think?

Youre right, she could be a cross. The leg color is definately wrong, and she looks big for a Nankin

Ok guys, I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I'm having a HUGE problem with squirrel tails in my Roosters. Both Single and Rose Comb. All originated from Mary Ann Harley, and every time I try to contact her about it, she doesn't reply. Also, I looked in the standard to find that the standard height for a Cock's tail should be about 50 degrees above the horizontal. I'm really uncomfortable with breeding any of these them because of their disqualifying trait. (Yes, 12 of 12 of my Roos have squirrel tail.) This is why I'm so desperate for a nice RC. Has anyone else who's ordered from Mary experienced this in their roos? I'm thinking she may have hatched these from a bad pen? If you have any tips, please let me know. Or even better, If you have a nice RC roo available, PM me!!
