Hey guys, the state is going to come retest my birds to make sure I can be NPIP certified, etc. If you are in the Jacksonville area and would like to have YOUR birds tested for FREE, email [email protected]

She's planning on coming to Jax in the next week or two.

There is no cost. They come by and blood test your birds and give you a card if your birds are clean of disease. If you want to sell and trade, some people won't buy unless you have NPIP only birds. I know you can't ship to some states unless you have that.

I think I might start only buying from people who are NPIP.

BTW, if you are SHOWING your birds and have the NPIP you don't have to wait in the testing line you just show them your card and put your birds in their cages. (At least that's how it is at the show I was at.)

It doesn't matter how small your flock--ASK for the FREE testing! [email protected]

Tell everyone you know with birds. Don't be nervous, just do it and make you and the rest of us feel secure about the birds you sell.
