Need help with malpositioned pigeon chick!!

Pics
He seems to be ok, hes wriggling away but hes not making any attempt to push out so he must not be ready?! I haven't peeled anymore for a while because he still has lots of blood vessels around him :/ its strange because where i've peeled so far there was none!
This is probably the hardest part about assisting, not knowing for sure if you should do something. :hugs
As long as he's s still working at it id leave him be. If you notice he's chirping loudly and frantically, it may be time to help.
As far as the blood vessels, thats not unusual, the ones where you started peeling had already absorbed. Its a gradual process. And at this point seems to take forever. Patience is you're best friend right now ! And if in doubt, post a pic first.:hugs

Got so excited i had to update lol! Took him out to have another look and the blood vessels are receeding so i managed to have another little peel to give him a wee bit more room to move and it worked! He has popped his wee wing out :D i have a good feeling!

Oh wow! So neat! Is it as time consuming as feeding wild hatchlings like song birds?
Not so much.:)

I wouldn't expect to hear chirping...they are quieter as babies.
eta - after a few days you will hear them squeaking when demanding to be fed.

Ah, ok. Ive had sparrow babies short term, until a rehaber could meet me to take them. 3 days... and wow... seemed like constant feedings during the day.:lau
