Need help with malpositioned pigeon chick!!

He's doing really well, we are both getting the hang of it! Hes putting on weight, was 12g on hatch day and he is now 23g he is eating really well and seems like a strong wee bird! im already thinking im going to miss him being so tiny lol! Unfortunately still no sign from my other chick but im keeping him in incubator for a few more days to be sure

Thats awesome! It always seems that the littles dont ever stay little long eough so enjoy it while you can.
If you notice any odd smell coming from the incubator, very carefully get the egg out and toss it far from the house. It can burst and will stink up the whole house. And its a smell you'll never forget! I dont have a weak stomach in the least but when I ran across a hidden clutch of eggs one of my hens set last fall and was getting them out to pitch and one burst, I couldn't eat the rest of the day without feeling nauseous ...

I'm happy for you and the wee doo. How often does he need to eat?

Thank you @biophiliac i have been feeding him around 3ml every 3 hours as thats around the time his crop has emptied a bit for some more food! 1ml would never be enough to fill his crop nicely! I will give him a last feed around 12/1 in the morning before i go to bed and dont feed him till around 6 in the morning to give him the time to empty his crop! He is absolutely fine with that and is still very lively for his first feed. Its not as hard as i thought which is a relief

Of course, i will take a picture when i take him out to feed one of the wild pigeons was just sitting on my window lol thought i would share a few photos of them for now lol! They are very cute!!

I used to be one of those pigeon haters. I still find it odd that I think they are so beautiful now!

They sure are attracted to you! And those are nice looking birds. Remember the ferals all originate from tamed birds.

Correction: At least in the US they all descend from escaped domestic pigeons. In Europe there could be real wild Columba livia.
