@Fields Mountain Farm yes hes doing well, cant believe how much he is growing!! Aw that sounds amazing, hope you have a great time :)

@biophiliac yes i tried some string but he wasnt keen on that so the new bedding i made into a little cup shape so his legs cant slide and already looks like it has worked! His legs arent bending in when he tries to stand anymore and when i take him out he is sitting alot better so im pretty sure hes sorted :) also can see some pin feathers coming through!!
I had a marvelous time. We just got back home at around 3 this morning. Im wore out. :lau

Hi all :) he is still doing really well, cant believe how much he has grown already! He absolutely loves being cuddled in my hands, its the only way he really settles! He doesnt like going in his brooder box anymore lol so me and my bf alternate holding him throughout the day! Also we called him wee nutjob lol!!
Have you offered him seeds, grit and a water drinker yet so he can be learning to feed himself?:)
eta - he'll make a mess at first, thats ok.

I have had squeakers begin at 16 days. My nest boxes are large enough to put at dish of seeds and a small water drinker in the box. The parents eat and the young copy them. It may take a week after they begin eating for them to completely feed themselves. Meanwhile the parents or YOU supplement. For my hand fed one I played with the seeds a bit to get him interested - didn't take long. :)
