The pyrantel pamoate will cover for both roundworms and hookworms. The piperazine product you linked will only cover roundworms.

Careful with triple antibiotic- okay to use but the problem is kitties licking it off. Rub in very well.

Yes, kittens and puppies can be born already with roundworms. Not sure what your budget is, but the safest dewormer for that age is pyrantel. Same stuff human kids get for pinworms. Nemexx is a more popular brand name but there are a zillion names. You might already have some for some other animal? Pretty sure it’s fairly cheap, so might want to check be for next month. Avoid dewormer with the active ingredient piperazine! Very rough on the tummy and you won’t ever find a vet recommending that one.

You ignore the dose on the bottle, just like you would ignore the dose on the bottle of Safeguard for goats when giving to chickens.

I just calculated my money, & I have enough for the wormer.

We used up the last dewormer for our dog Spot who had tapeworms last year. I think it was a 7 way dewormer.

The kitten doesn't lick her butt very often, so there wasn't much of a concern with Triple antibiotic ointment.
