Need some help really bad, maggots ate through my rooster neck!

We used vaseline to force them to come to the top for air but our kittens wound wasnt nearly as bad as yours.

Okay so I went back to get the botfly out, and I don't think it is one, and I can't see it anywhere in there and my brother and I looked around everywhere, I am afraid to just leave it but I also dont want to pick at the wound to much (don't want to hit something I shouldn't) I put some more neosporon (don't know how to spell it) in it (filled the whole wound) So should I just leave it a day or so before I go picking around some more? And should I give him another bath tomorrow?

Sounds like you are doing a great job!

I would leave it for a bit unless it gets nasty. Wetting it down will stop the healing process that has already begun. You want to make sure that you keep it dry and clean with no flies in the area.
