I got the mouse costume done. I will post pictures tonight. I forgot about making a wedge of cheese though so I'm thinking about what I have around the house to make that. Mice need cheese of course! The t-rex head is coming out awesome! it's very cool. I'll be painting it tonight and then making the teeth.Oh I can't wait to see pics of the adorable costumes! The ones you made last year were so cute!

your lease to own option sounds interesting. good luck!
I might need to stop by and kidnap a polishDo any of you want to visit me? Don`t worry I`m perfectly harmless....most of the time.![]()

Glad he's on the mend an in a regular room. what a scary situation for you all. I hope he will recover quickly.Yeah, Elizabeth! I totally cant wait. Youre the best costume maker!
Thanks for asking Sunny, They found another break in his knee, but they said that since he will be bedridden for a long time it should heal u on its own, phew! Also he got moved out of ICU and into a real room with a window and a TV so thats awesome, lol. I think they want to try and get him into physical therapy next week but I am not 100% certain. Hes in pain but he is responsive to it and to me thats a good signI think its gonna be a long road from here, but i am just happy that I will still have my Dad to walk me down the aisle next year
LOL!
I hope it works out. It really is a very small loan in this day and age so I hope they will work with you.soooo....umm....i guess i am going to be attempting to buy this houseI have no idea what is going on around here anymore. With Mark's stepdad in bankruptcy and dying his mother wants to get as far away from his assets as possible and is willing to hand the house to us at no profit to her. Its got $30,000 left on in (four years or so). I really hope we qualify or else were totally out of luck. poop.![]()

Hope your little marans shows up! gorgeous EE. Love the look of roosters and wish I could keep one.I'm so ticked. Had a great day doing some stuff in one of the coops, got some time to sit and enjoy the chickens, got TWO blue/green eggs from one of the May hatch girls plus everyone seems to be done with their molt and laying again...I go in the house to make lasagna for some friends who's husband was coming home from the hospital and when my husband goes to feed one of my baby Marans has gone missing! This is the group that came sick and I lost 1/2 of them, now I've lost the little cockerel. Better then one of the girls but I wanted the roo. He was already very handsome.
Well, here's a pic of all the eggs....and my husband even found another one after I picked these up.
Here's a picture of one of my stunning EE Cockerels (he's for sale if anyone is interested).
I see the missing Marans in this picture, back by the trees, and in a sequence of 5 picture of this cockerel, I see just these two, no third one that's a pullet, yet I know it's the cockerel gone because the girls combs and wattles are nothing. So easy to tell what sex they are!
Pam
I have some green tomatoes and that's about it. my zucchini had a resurgence of blossoms but all the fruit is still very tiny. congrats on your new tortoise and I'm glad the silkie is doing so well. One of mine is going broody.I hope you find him! And the EE cockerel is indeed stunning!
Novice gardeners... in case you were wondering how to handle this frost...
If you pick the rest of your tomatoes today, most will continue to ripen in your warm house. Same thing with peppers. If you have a plant that's still loaded with green fruit, cut it off at the ground, then hang it upside down in a garage.
Things that can just be tossed into a freezer bag: tomatoes, peppers, tomatillos, eggplant, onions. If you have time, slice them first... it's a lot easier slicing them before freezing than after they're thawed. And remove the seeds from the peppers.
Basil will not live past tonight. Pick it all and make pesto or something.
Winter squash doesn't necessarily have to be picked tonight because a light frost won't harm the fruit. But it will kill the plant, so there won't be any more growth past this. So you can go into the garden in the next couple of days and gather your squash. If you're not sure they're ripe, put them in your sunniest window and eat the ones that look ripest. Zucchini and summer squash all need to be picked tonight.
European crops will be fine. Carrots, broccoli can cauliflower, spinach and chard, beets... they can stay outside for a few more weeks. No rush.
I don't know how many of you still have gardens going, but I know I'm going out today and gathering all my tomatoes.
