Geeze Kim, I am so sorry. Have you thought...like...REALLY thought about going with her? So sad, im so so sorry
I feel crummy whining anymore but if not here then where??
WILL THIS EVER END?!?!
I went to check on Gunda because i noticed that she hasnt really been eating and her crop was completely empty! she feels like she is losing weight and she wont touch her feed. I have no clue what her problem is. The empty crop feels normal, she doesnt seem to be egg bound, she doesnt look ill at all. I havent the slightest clue what could be wrong! im stumped! She has been spending a lot of time in the coop. How do i get her to eat something?
AND THEN holy moly this is the worst...I found Mama hiding in a corner...unusual to say the least as she is very outgoing... picked her up (i had just checked on her ten minutes earlier and she was fine) and saw that SOMEONE HAD PECKED OUT HER EYE!!
I am at my wits end right now with these poor birds! Now keep in mind, none of these guys are overly aggressive, even to newbies. Im thinking that since she was in the coop she was eating and someone meant to peck her head and accidentally got her right in the eye ball. There is no pecking or scrapes anywhere else. I am at a loss. This really is a new one for me. I am hoping it will heal and she will just be one-eyed. But I am also worried because I cannot give her antibiotics . AUGH!! poor Mama!!!
