Hey you changed your avatar! She's a cutie. I don't know what is wrong with Tractor Pull! I think it has a nice ring to... OK I can't even type this with a straight face. I can't imagine trying to get that name out everytime this chicken is mentioned. And how do you shorten it? At least Luke Skywalker could be Lou or Sky but Tract or Pull just doen't have a ring to it at all does it? Tell your Grandson I tried to go to bat for him!

So this is funny....but not....when I had to tell the boys all our chickens were killed, and they were trying to wrap thier little 2 and 4 year old heads around it, he said "even Tractor Pull?" OK, that's sad but it gave me a smile in all the tragedy.

Sunny I thought that show Whatever Martha looked funny, though I never have actually watched it. It seemed kind of campy like Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Tractor Pull sounds pretty good to me. I would shorten that name to TP for typing, though.

Hahaha, around here that's what we call toilet paper. hehe A chicken called TP, now that is funny! Yeah the show was definitely campy but being a Mom and knowing how much my own kid's comments hurt... Ack, I just couldn't separate myself from it! Course I raised 3 teenagers, well Steve's daughter for awhile too. I always tease my youngest that it's a good thing he came along before his oldest sister hit the teenage years! Cause having a teenager cured me from wanting to have any more kids! Best birth control on the planet. Luckily her and I can totally joke about her "insane years" now.

Although that may explain why Martha started dating the daughter's ex-boyfriend later! Nope, still ewwww!!!

Today I gave my boss some eggs, he was so massively impressed with my variety of color that i was accidentally encouraged to order 2 olive egger pullets from the show.

stockton count is now up to 4. Once upon a time that was twice the size of my flock! Im hoping to at least get my hands on a cuckoo marans though as id really like another dark layer and i dont need anymore black or blue birds. (yes i am a weirdo who likes all of my birds to look completely different.)

btw i got rid of two more babies. That leaves 4 of 25 and i think im good now. Two pullets :splash polish and red frizzled cochin+ two roos, Red crested red polish and sultan. I think i am good now. I am officially back to UNDER 20 birds. Ive got to get a pic of this sultan tomorrow though. I got rid of one who was really very hatchery quality obviously but this one i kept is STUNNING. I am really interested in this breed now and really hope i can get me a girly soon...

Elvis has been really bummed about the goats being gone. He is really dog aggressive so he never really had playmates before. I think he is still expecting them to be there, he runs outside in play mode, then its like he remembers, does his business, and sits on the deck for a while. Poor little duffer.
