OK! I'll set the eggs earlier then. That way we can try again if the first batch doesn't hatch. We'll wait on the marans and see if anyone else is interested in some. Maybe I'll just get 25 and then when they are mature enough to tell cockerel from pullet I'll sell them off. Last time I split an order I got almost all roos. I can also order eggs for hatching. I'll look into that as well.
Congrats on your GD visiting! I've been so tempted to take one of my granddaughters for a visit (the one that always wants to go home with me, she's a real grandma's girl) but I'm afraid she will change her mind at midnight and it's a 7 hour drive to take her back home.
She's only 3. Enjoy!
When I called one of the organizers of the poultry show she said that friday was set-up only and that even though they have until 9pm to clean up and get out on saturday they usually try to hurry it up and get out early which means you can't count on them being open much after 5pm. I notice that a lot around here. I'll go to an event that's supposed to go to such and such a time and they have already left and gone home an hour (or more) early. I'm trying to get used to that but I still feel you have an obligation to stay til the time you listed in your schedule.
Oh well. I'll just have to learn to get going earlier. Hope to see some of you there! But how would we know you if we saw you? Well I already know about 1/3 of the Renoites but the rest of you...
Eglyntine I'm so jealous of your chicks!
I always start feeling withdrawals about this time of year! C'mon spring!
