Gotchya, thanks for the tips! I'll look into it, I really like the idea. Does it depend on the situation or are you responsible for obtaining the eggs and then giving them to your hatchery or is that the hatcher's job?

The general consensus in cities is roosters are bad. But you can advertise free roosters on Craigslist and they get snatched up... my silkie roosters found a home within 4 hours. When someone hatches for you, I would expect to be responsible for all that hatch unless the person hatching wants to keep some. So double what you want, because of the 50% rooster/hen ratio, and have a plan for the extras.

agreed. also you could keep all of the chicks and as they grew up and you could tell their genders, personalities, and types better and you could sell the ones you dont want

the fire is burning in washoe, pleasent vally, and collign ranch. pv elementryis evacuated and they cant fight it becuase of wind they can only defend structers . Washoe county declared a state of emergency and 3+ stucters have ben detsryoyed

I walked a block to the 7-11 to get a soda refill, and when I got there I had to wash ash out of my cup. I hope it rains or snows again soon... that's what finally stopped the last fire.

yeah the owners came by (im working at the shop in the B of A building) and had me lock the doors because it smelled so badly everytime someone came into the building. Geeze, how sad
