Nevadans?

Kim, sounds like you're having better success with your hatches. Did you make changes or just good luck? Hope you get your trio.
Just better luck I think. Maybe I shouldn't say anything and jinx myself. I'm already nervous about the Silked AMs in the LG in my bedroom. I can't see through those sucks very good and it looks like I have srambled eggs, but they're in lockdown anyway. I got one out of 12 last time and there's 18 in there now and they ain't cheap!

OK so you want to build up! Just don't do it wrong. Do the same exercises, they tone everything. You probably don't have to worry about the frappe. Just don't know how anyone can eat or drink at that place. I literally get sick just smelling it and used to live around the block from one.  You want to start working with some weights, but to tell you the truth you may lose just a bit, before you start building mass. If you want I can't do it till after sunday, but I can do a start up chart for you and then we'll add more as you get furthur along. My youngest brother used to make charts for his friends in high school and before he'd hang out with them they had to hit the weights. One lost a ton of weight and the others still are buff in their 40s. He got them hooked. LOL  OH!!!! You need to go buy a mag. I was the residents assistant with the wrestling organizarion and training camp. We had a shop at the gym for suppliments and things. I hate those things, so do it naturally. But we had lots and lots of magazines and my boss was going to stop some of them until I told him this one was great. Men's Workout! Even one mag will give you some good ideas for working out. I was really impressed with that mag and the Women's version, but that one got canceled. Never understood why, because I have never seen another magazine that showed women the types of training to do that really worked. All we get is fluffy and cutesy stuff. Useless!

I hope you like oatmeal. That's one of the best foods you can eat every day.  Get some not too heavy weights, nothing expensive and keep in mind that slow movements build and fast burns, so stick to slow and even movements. BTW the squats will build legs and tighten butts. Slow movements!

Thank you Kim. I would love a work out chart if you don't mind making one. I have a pair of 10 pound weights plus hay bales and my 30 pound saddle.
I work at McDonalds. I understand it making you sick. I have a Jack in the Box, Taco Bell and Burger King all in walking distance. Which would you say is best to eat at? The frappes are yummy.

You're probably fine with any of them. I do and have for syear literally gotten sick when I eat at McDonalds. I used to love 1/4 pounders and the grilled chicken sandwiches, but the only thing I can even keep down and last time that even made me a little ill are the apples pies, which is all the still had other then the cherry and the fruit salads. Even the sodas come back up. Friends helped me try to get over it by buying me burgers and fries from 3 different places and as soon as I tried the one's from McDonalds I was a mess. I'd like to be able to eat there, just can't. I have no idea why that is, it just is. I do like Jack in the Box, but rarely eat there.
Eat grilled not fried. Better for you anyway. Just pay attention to what you eat more than where you eat.

Thank you so much. I'm kind of looking foward trying it. I'm excited to try one of our new snores pies.

tyler! you could walk to the grocery store across the street and get real food, LOL. Scholaris has lots of good pre-cooked foods in the deli section! If youre going to be working out and want to bulk up fast food will not be the way to go, it will make you feel slow and sluggish. Eat fresh foods! like kim said, grilled meats rather than fried. You want the workout to show muscle mass so dont waste it by having to work off fat, eat nuts and meat for protein and turn that into rock hard abs! I will say after doing weight watchers, no matter how healthy something "seems" at fast food places...its really not. Even the salads usually have more crap in them then a home cooked meal of chicken and veggies. Plus if thats what youve been eating every day anyways then youre not going to see results from just doing what youve been doing. When i was in high school i worked next to a micky-ds and ate the five piece chicken strips with extra ranch and a hot fudge sundae every single day. Since i was really young i never effected my weight but it did effect how i felt at work and school. I didnt realize this until my mother started letting me cook real meals and take them to work with me.
Also remember, every body type is different... youll have to feel it out and see what wprks best for you. For instance, i used to work out everyday at the gym for AT LEAST an hour a day, and never lost a pound, however my body reacts really well to eating better. I know tons of people who are the other way around.
good luck though! try protein shakes! when my brother was in his late teens he worked out a lot and drank those and they really helped bulk him up. Too bad you dont live in reno...markie could take you to the gym with him and show you his workout. Hes been swimming and lifting weights everyday on top of surfing and his shoulders make me drool! LOL!!!

I like how Michael Pollan (my favorite food guru) puts it: "Eat food." And by that, he means stuff that your great-grandmother would have recognized as food! If she had read the label and said, "What the heck is polymorphicamorous silica triphosphate cellulose?" then don't eat it. He also says not to eat anything with more than 5 ingredients, unless you put those ingredients together yourself. All these people try so hard to put the perfect diet together, but a lot of them don't realize that the perfect diet is sitting there in the raw foods section of the grocery store. Meat, beans, eggs, rice, fruits, veggies, non-processed dairy. They just have to walk past all the stuff that's in a wrapper, with claims that they can prevent a heart attack by eating something shaped like an innertube. (Yeah, I have issues with people telling me that my husband almost died because we don't eat Cheerios.)

For great exercises, you can go to www.bodyrock.tv They're designed to be done without a lot of equipment or a lot of time, and use mostly your bodyweight.
Warning: they look easy. My husband tries to throw in at least 2 bodyrock workouts a week, and that's what he did most of the time that he was in the Philippines and didn't have access to a decent gym. If you can't do the exercises, just try to do them. Just trying gets you a step forward.

honestly though i am no expert on weight GAIN....(well unless, you count after i quit drinking..yeesh!) but no matter what the goal is there is always a healthy way to do it! And guess what...every person you ask will have something to say on the subject and every person will say something differet, BUAHAHA! when i started weight watchers EVERY SINGLE PERSON I told would give me their own advice which would be completely upsidedown and backwards to what my diet plan and instruction really was, LOL, and i would have to tell them "thank you, but i think ive got this" BHAHAHA!

You think you get unsolicited and cruddy advice while trying to lose weight? Wait until you have a baby!!! A woman can be on her 10th child, and strangers will come up and tell her what to do. I warned my very impressionable friend about that. I said, "Get a front pack carrier, and let daddy carry the baby through the stores. Because if you put her in a baby seat in the shopping cart, total strangers will come up and touch your baby."

The funny thing about people who give fitness advice... you can find most of them complaining at another time that they "just can't lose weight! It must be my thyroid!"

I am in better shape than i have ever been- i feel amazing, look amazing, and she is calling me on the phone telling me that i need to stop eating carrots as a snack because celery is lower calories. OMG MOM! HAHAHA. i love her.

hi everybody!
i'm new to chicken keeping and reno and enjoying both. still working on my coop, i'm a little construction challenged, but it's coming along. the girls; amelia, peanut butter and jelly, are anxiously awaiting their new digs and are pretty bored with the amenities of the bathtub hotel.
