A major retail DIY store near our area has a 10'x10' wooden shed kit on sale for $650. Our original plan was to collect scraps and cull lumber this summer to build our own shed-style coop. Our problem is that we are having a hard time finding reliable sources of decent lumber. Is this a good deal on a shed even if we add in costs to add windows, doors, ventilation, etc? Thanks in advance for your input!

We purchased one of those, then learned that you must supply the flooring and th roof material, and there are no sill plates (studs attach directly to floor). So after you spend the money to complete it properly ... You've spent a lot more than $650. All in all, though, it is precut and drilled and ready to assemble ... Likely worth it.
