New Brahma Group: Blue Partridge x Partridge, Plus Dark

Oh I forgot about French toast, yummy. I have troubles eating eggs straight because I know what behind they are coming out of, and what they are. French toast would remove the yuck factor. Weird how I forget about food options.

The fertile part adds another dimension into my egg gross out. All of mine are fertile too.

Haha, for someone who doesn't really eat eggs, you sure have a LOT of chickens! I like eggs, but I mostly use them in baking. Tom will eat 4-5 at a time when we have them. Me, I like scrambled eggs with a medium salsa and a dollop of sour cream. But, french toast is good, too.

Congrats on the first egg! I can't wait until mine start up - I picked up a very nice pair of juveniles at a show I went to last Sunday. The pullet is only four months old though, so I've got a while to wait, most likely :pop

I know. I love chickens, but find eggs a by-product. I give as many away as possible and feed the rest back to the chickens.

Scrambled eggs sound delicious, but sitting on my plate in front of me and my brain starts thinking about what they are. :barnie

I must be the only person picking breeds because they don't lay too much. I just like watching chickens doing chicken things. It's peaceful.

I forgot about popovers too. Those use lots of eggs and are delicious.

These boys are getting so big and handsome, not to mention, sweet like daddy. Somehow, I missed getting a new pic of the darker blue partridge male-he is gorgeous! Guess he just slipped away every time the camera snapped. He will be look most like Bash in his blue tone. But, the lighter blue is also very handsome, I think. As is usual, the partridge males are larger than the blues with the lighter blue boy being the smallest of all four.

More pics today of the 4 week olds and 8 week olds. The younger ones were apparently sunbathing and got a little "overcooked", so were panting their hearts out when I shooed them back into their pen at picture time.
