New BYC Awards / Badges System

Just noticed this new system. Very cool!

I was thinking maybe an award for the OP's of each US State's official thread, like how SunnyDawn started the Nevada thread for example. Maybe an award like "Community Roundup" or something along those lines...

After deep reflection I really think it does too....It means that the seller (whatever they are selling) is aware of public feedback, concerned about the healthy and vitality of their flocks, how they wrap, how they package, what they send, etc..... I consider it the epitome of the BYC standard of excellence...

And believe me after we've been selling farm products for almost a decade now, we know how important reputation, trustworthiness and value are. Treating others as you want to be treated is our Golden Rule and it's never failed us. Give all you can and then some more and that's for us Customer Service. Hatching assistance, phone assistance, e mail, whatever is needed.

Perhaps you could have the following categories:

1 to 24 positive comments - One category of BYC seller
25-49 another category
50 to 74 - another category
75 to 100 another category
100+ a final category.

(actually I think 'traveling badge' should be whoever travels the most distance to get to a live meet-up)

How about award/badge for consistent kindness to everyone....newbies included. Someone who goes above and beyond ALL the time. Not sure what it would be called?

Someone who answers even the silly questions.
Looks up other threads that are helpful and posts the link for the OP.
Just basically being a GREAT active member, and has shown the greatness for some amount of time.

I think the awards/ badges are awesome! Thanks for taking the time to create them!!

Not sure when the list will be finalized as to what Awards will be available for nomination, but I just used the "Report" button on a member's post to submit a nomination. I hope that's the correct avenue for now and that I gave enough info. If not, please let me know.
