new coop begun-two years later and we're still working on it

FYI, I just called and ordered a set of the Star Plates from StrombergChickens (1-800-720-1134) and for $69 you get the 11 plates and instruction booklet and templates for cutting the boards. We'll see how they look.

I have alot of 2x4s, so will do the math and figure the correct height and cut the boards accordingly.

You know, if I get the girls used to their coop with the upper opening, I might just fence them in.

You got it! It's been a nutty week, but weather permitting we'll get more siding up this weekend. I've had to separate my baby roos as one was getting agressive. We need to finish ASAP!

can't wait to see henriettas finished coop. I think those plans would make a great playhouse for my dd. It looks like a project I could work on with minimul help from dh.

Here it is with about half the siding up. The window was just propped on some nails for a rough idea of placement. We've had about 15 days straight of nice sunny weather so I haven't gotten copies of the plans made and mailed yet. I hope you are all patient people. Tomorrow is looking like another good work day! The duck pen is almost finished and I'm hoping to have them out in the next few days!
