New coop

I need help I have 12 chickens about 9months old and I introduced them to 12 new hens that are about 2yrs old they get along fine but my original 12 refuse to lay in the new coop and the older ones are molting and are just starting to lay again but they hide the eggs in the bedding the new ones are laying randomly outside the coop but they have been in the coop for 3weeks now

My coop is 8x10 a lot of roosting room integration was done by splitting the 40x20 run and 6x10' covered run in half the new coop was also split in half by chicken wire

I would start by collecting the eggs and putting them into the nest boxes. Say, two eggs in each nest. Since they are laying in the bedding, get a rake and take out the bedding for a couple of days.
