thanks everyone! so who (besides piglett - who lives like a half mile up the road from me lol) is from the Lakes Region area? We have silver laced polish, Blue and Black LF cochins (no frizzles or splash yet, but I'm hoping for some come spring!), and will soon have some Paul Smith and Bev Davis BBS-Copper Marans that we inherited from Morning Crow Farm.

I keep trying to get firewood - but my minivan only carries so much LOL Not something I'm used to having - a wood stove. All the other places I've lived haven't had that nice little extra Things are going well Working on building out some new coops to bring some of my other kids home from the family farm hopefully before the snow flies! My only issue is the power tools - I only have them available to me when my brother is up here (he lives in Mass) so it's been slow going (ie - not much has been accomplished yet lol).

The whole cold coming in early is not cool - my birthday is Sunday and I hear the evil S word being thrown around - really, not a nice birthday present, Mother Nature!

Hello Everyone! I'm 8 miles from Mt. Washington, sllighty colder and the hens are already starting to slow down in laying! I am also venturing in the Angora Fiber Market! I have a registered German/French/Giant REW Buck named Chaz and a registered lilac point French/German/Satin Doe named Mitzi that I'm hoping to mate come spring. I'm learning to spin their fiber now! Is there anyone out there that is into this?

I still love my little lady's but I'm enjoying my e spinner and I'll even be able to sit out by the pool with the girls doing it!

Hi again lakesmaiden. Checked on our newbies the other day. Mostly my boyfriend takes care of them. He's home as he's disabled. He said we had more than 2 roosters. He was right. WE HAVE 5 !!!! I guess we'll be looking for people that want a rooster. We're so disappointed. Knew we were going to get rid of one, but 4!
