Using the breeding guide on here, I also believe they are Australorps! The breeder told us Ameraucana but doing more research it doesn't look like them. Does Astrid lay dark brown, sometimes speckled, eggs?

Hers are actually somewhat pink in color. But the color can vary from bird to bird.

Sounds like Black Australorps. Generally it is better NOT to name birds, if you plan on eating them later.

Hi Ashley, it's nice to have you here! I agree with the other greeters on your black birds being Australorps. I also name my birds because they're as much pets to me as they are egg producers.
