New to chickens from Southern OH

Brood them in the coop if you can.
I would if I could but I broke my ankle on the 9th and ended up having to have surgery on it a week later so I am struggling on one foot here. They will have to be in the living room for the first week or so ( totally normal to have chicks in your living room right??) then they will be in the attached garage till the coop is finished and they work on growing out their feathers. I cant hop out to coop quite yet its to far :( I think we can make it work as I heal though!

Did the doctor give you a walking cast? Or are you non-weight bearing?

I'm so sorry. I hope you have someone to help you out!
Awlll ty so much. My husband does everything he possibly can when he is home and when he isn’t my kids are wonderful helpers they are three and five. It isn’t easy but we are getting it done! I was going to cancel the chicken order and try later but ya know it’s really given us something positive to focus on so we are going ahead with it and finding ways to work around any roadblocks.

That positive outlook will help you heal quickly. I hope you have great luck with the new chicks!
